Terms of use

1. What HypeNow is

HypeNow shows what is popular in films, series, games and music, where to find it, and helps you choose. Its data comes mostly from third-party sources; we aim for accuracy but cannot guarantee it. Availability, prices and dates can change at any time. HypeNow is free.

2. Account

The app automatically creates a device account when needed — with no name, email address or password. You can secure it with “Sign in with Apple” and delete it in the app at any time (https://www.hypenow.app/account-deletion?lang=en). Please keep your access (Apple ID, Steam) safe.

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are not yet of age, you use HypeNow with your parents' permission.

3. Community rules – zero tolerance

For everything you show others — display name, username, bio, lists, descriptions, requests: zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Prohibited in particular: hate speech, harassment, threats and calls to violence; sexual or pornographic content and anything that puts minors at risk; spam, advertising and links to scams, piracy or illegal content; other people’s personal data and pretending to be someone else; content that infringes the rights of others.

You can report content and block people at any time. We usually review reports within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules; whoever breaks them can be excluded from the community. We tell you in the app about decisions on your content.

Before anything of yours reaches others, you agree to these rules in the app.

For content you publish, you grant us the simple, free right to show it in HypeNow until you delete it.

4. Third-party content and services

HypeNow shows content and data from third parties, including TMDB, JustWatch, FlixPatrol, IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, Letterboxd, Steam, Twitch, IGDB, Apple and YouTube. Trademarks and content belong to their owners; HypeNow is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

HypeNow plays trailers and music videos through YouTube API Services. By using these features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google’s Privacy Policy applies (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

Links to shops, ticket vendors or streaming services lead to third-party offers under their own terms. HypeNow itself sells nothing.

5. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise only for breach of essential obligations and limited to foreseeable damage.

6. Changes

We may develop HypeNow further, change or discontinue features and adapt these terms with effect for the future. We announce material changes in the app; new community rules must be accepted before your next publication.

7. Law and contact

German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
